Workshop summary:​
The publication of good quality journal papers is the backbone of all research and academic institutions. Academics, researchers and postgraduate students are expected to publish their research work in high impact international journals in order to advance in their career or to fulfil the university requirement. Many inexperienced postgraduate students and young academics often find it difficult to draft a good journal manuscript that is acceptable to editors and reviewers.

In this highly interactive online workshop, the participants will be guided step-by-step into writing a good quality journal manuscript that is acceptable for publication in high impact journals. This is an ideal workshop for those who are new to publishing and would like to know what it takes to writing a manuscript that meets the standard required by the journal.

Presenter profile
Dr. Mani Maran Ratnam obtained his B.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Malaya in 1985 and his Ph.D. from Polytechnic of Wales (UK) in 1991. He has published over 150 journal and conference papers, mainly in the areas of optical metrology and machine vision, has served as reviewer for numerous journals, and is an editorial board member of International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. He is currently a retired professor from Universiti Sains Malaysia, after serving for 26 years. He is also a certified trainer under PSMB (Cert. no. TTT/1227), Ministry of Human Resources.
