Illumination Consistency Checker (ICC_ver1.0)
Illumination consistency is a measure of the stability of machine vision lighting over short and long periods. Although high intensity lighting usually overcomes the problem of inconsistent illumination caused by ambient lighting, the difference in ambient lighting in the factory environment compared to the environment where the machine vision system was developed may cause algorithms to fail due to unknown reasons.

The Illumination Consistency Checker is a simple MATLAB GUI that enables images to be compared by subtraction. An intensity profile is plotted across the object to show any residual pixel intensities that may arise from the different ambient lighting between the two images.
